Found this link on another forum, similar to the ships radar that was posted a few months back, this one is for aircraft.

Click on an aircraft to get it's track and details.

Thats a scary way of looking at flights, makes our roads appear empty.

Cheers Hugh - very interesting. Love websites like that.

Nothing over Italy?

Awesome website, the amount of planes over Europe is quite comical. Really terrible performance in IE 8 though.

The website does warn about IE.
Fine with Firefox.

Still finding it immensely interesting. However, when you zoom in very close inaccuracy creeps in. I followed an aircraft that passed directly overhead my house. When I zoomed in close it was shown as 1.5 miles south of me.
Probably the system is not designed to work at large magnifications.

Great link! I've been interested in this stuff too after sorting out a PC fault for a friend of a friend. He is a big radio fanatic and listens to aricraft chatter and watches aircraft using an Airnav radar box. The software looks like a control tower radar and you can see similar info that you can with the above link, plus a bit more. He paid around 400 for the box, but I can watch for free!
Interesting but frightening sometimes when you think this stuff is readily available to the wrong kind of fanatics.
