Virtual Lighting Studio

Just had a play and it is a very clever piece of software. I guess there will be future refinements but I think it will really catch on for people starting out. I'd like to see different heads and maybe full torso models. Maybe the abillity to turn the model around and also raise and lower the head.

Abillity to change background colour and effects would also be a very good addition.

I think it's only a Beta version but think it could come in handy, especially for a newbie to off camera lighting like myself.

When it's not practical to get lighting kit out or whatever then this can be used to experiment and get an idea for setups.

Tugster if you turn on the ambient light (top left) you can adjust the background from black through grey to white ;-)
Ive been playing with this on and off for the last few days since it was on strobist blogspot
Im not that keen on the 3d representation of the lights positions I think the line to the ground should represent the actual position of the lights. Even with that said its fun to play around with
