Yes
Any one else having problems. Not working and can't access their site even

Yes, problems here overnight apparently- Swansea. OK at the moment.

Yes, seems like a wider issue. We are in NW London.

Looks like it may be up now.

Yes, ours has come back now.

Bit dumb though, I phoned in to try and find out, pushed the right numbers for internet not working, and they send me a link!!
Carrier pigeon couldn't understand the link, so no use :)

Like the computer error "no keyboard found, press F1 to continue"

All working normally now - according to Think Broadband they were down for most of the time [ albeit intermittently ] from 2am to after 8am !

It was odd though - I could get stuff in on my iPhone [ emails and Messenger stuff ] but could not access emails etc on my Laptop.

We had problems earlier but it seems to have cleared now.

We're also having issues with one of our TV boxes and it's not easy getting a response from Virgin. Tried by land line, mobile and pc now.

Virgin customer service can IMO be very poor.

Yeah, it's been rock solid for 2 years. Now they are putting the price up it's fubarred.

You mean they have customer service?

Could have fooled me :)

Indeed, was down when I tried to start work at 7:45, tried a few websites then realised I wasn't connected to the net, tried the Virgin service status using my phone on 4G, couldn't even get to the site it was obviously so busy, then read about it on another site. Now it's back, but I missed my first meeting of the day annoyingly.

Yeah, my wife started early. Fortunately tethered to a 5g phone she can get about 30-40 meg so she could talk to the databases before they got busy.

I had to hot spot from my mobile earlier while the broadband was down. No big deal.

I'm still having drop outs more often than I would like - blasted nuisance

Well, they have a number you can ring and a website you can access.

I eventually got to swap txt with a bot and then someone who claimed to be human who seemed to be dealing with multiple people as he took an age to answer each message. At the end of it all I got to give feedback so I was honest. Not that anything will change.

BTW I don't think Virgin are any worse than anyone else. I recently signed up to a new mobile phone contract and they are appalling with links that go nowhere etc. When they saw my review they companied to the hosting company alleging that it wasn't a real customer experience so I provided proof that I was a customer and links to their broken links. The hosting company sided with me and the review stayed up.

I was being sarcastic. They took over the cable network from NTL who had a lousy reputation, and for years didn't do any better. About 8 years ago they completed some fairly major updates and things improved, but the customer service has never improved,

We left their phone service many years ago, and ditched the landline and TV about 10 years ago.

Years after we left their mobile service, we got refunds for over charges they had refused to consider, but it seems OFCOM had so many complaints they had to sort things out.
One was for charging a high excess on an insurance claim that shouldn't have been charged.

Many companies spend a lot of effort having reviews removed, pity, if they put that effort into customer service in the first place, they wouldn't get the poor reviews. :)

But I would agree, they are probably no worse than any one else.
Britain used to be famous round the world for their good customer service! Three will always stick in my mind, QuartzLabs, Laskys and Technical and Optical Equipment

Anyone have any issues with VM again today?

Thank you, we seem to be having intermittent issues. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Yes, intermitent issues yesterday.
Thank you, same this morning too. Hope they fix the issue soon as can do any work as keeps dropping connections.

Since the virgin users are all here: you have until Monday to discuss options on the new price rise.

I rang earlier and the automated line offered me £10 off for 6 months without even speaking to a human.

I called and they have reduced the increase by £5.50 for 12 months. I am due to renew in August so will call in July and see what they offer.

I do not have any other options as ADSL in my area is crap, so have to stick with VM

I would imagine the more choices you have, the more they will discount to keep you :(

I didn't take the tenner and got a better deal - possibly because there's open reach fibre in the road.

Well... up at 7am and ready and the engineer was supposed to be here anytime between 08:00 and 12:00 and it's 13:30 now and no sign yet.

Thank you again Virgin.

Yeah! To all Virgins - "Thanks for nothing!"
