I have my new Docsis box delivered for the new 200Mbts upgrade, but what speed should I be looking at realistically on my laptop, which is new so will or should have the latest Ethernet adapter.

I get the full 150 from mine via the 5ghz WiFi.

Theoretical max for gigabit Ethernet is 125. Realistically expect less depending on the quality of the network card.

When you say you're getting those numbers, how are you testing it?

I have just used ookla speedtest and got 211 so not too shabby

None of those tests are real world accurate though. You need an html5 test.

dont think any of them are 100% accurate. they all give different results based on their server/connection loads at the time.

That's true, but at least html5 tests more accurately mimic real world downloads.
