Hi guys,

I'm currently setting up my home studio, nothing fancy, just a small controlled environment for products, portraits and composite work.

I was thinking abut matt vinyl backgrounds, 2x4m, ideally 2-in-1 (white and black).
Bessel are currently sold out and they are expecting to get something within 4-6 weeks.
Do you know any other sellers worth looking at?

If you search the forums for topics on vinyl there's quite a few discussions about this.

From looking at previous threads it seems that Bessel are the main company that supply the 2 in 1 double sided vinyl however there is also a company called XL studio lighting (on Ebay) that make a similar one. The general consensus seems that the Bessel vinyl is of better quality as the XL studio one is reportedly quite thin and shiny. This is just what people have commented on previously, I don't have either of them so don't know from personal experience.

What kind of support stand do you have? Do you particularly need the 2 in 1 vinyl? If it possible could you do with getting 1 white vinyl and 1 black vinyl? This would give you much more choice in terms of sizes and companies.

Or if you're not in any particular rush then could always wait for the Bessel one to come back in stock :)

I bought the Bessel one. It was out of stock when i wanted it but its worth emailing them and then get in touch when it's back in stock. Very pleased with mine.

Good choice. I'm actually debating between getting the Bessel white vinyl or the 2 in 1 so it's good to hear that you're pleased with yours.
