I've getting my Speed Graphic back together, and now looking for a decent tripod for it. I'm looking for something:

fairly period (late 50s early 60s in style)
reasonably solid (its a large format with focal-plane shutter and a good few lbs of glass hanging off the front)
not silly expensive (I'd like to spend under £40 if this is possible)

So, any ideas, I've seen lots of stuff on fleabay but not sure what would be a good bet and what to avoid.

thanks.

I'm not sure that it will be 'retro' enough for you, but my Schiansky model 191 from the early/mid sixties would certainly support a large camera

I don't see any on ebay at the moment but I wouldn't think they would be that expensive.

Bill, I have a Gitzo tripod and head that may suit your needs, it's a bit of a beast but solid as a rock. I'll sort out some pics later.
