Vintage lens on 5D

I picked up an old CZ Jena 50mm the other day and I've been messing around with it on the 350D with an adapter. It's such a fun lens though and I wonder if anyone has used one on a 5D. I know there are issues with a few old M42s where the back element can touch the mirror and I know the clearance on a 5D is different to the 350D. I don't want to be the first to have a collision

Just try it. It is very rare that the back element hitting the mirror will damage it. You will just have to unmount the lens and restart the camera. Though if you want an alternate Zeiss 50, the C/Y 50 F1.7 is a better option, and can be had for around £50 used.

In that case I'll give it a go. I found a web site with a table of old lenses that can be used and this one is on it so I will trust those who have done the research
