Hi just joined today i have a great passion in photography and have been snap happy for a while but have just recently bought my self a nikon d60 and interfit studio and would love to hear peoples views on my work thanks ..................................... please take a look at my web page www.memearts.yolasite.com
 
I would suggest re-scaling your images.
Currently they are uploaded at full res- 3872px × 2592px, and displayed at 900x600px
From what I have seen they are nice, but I cannot wait to download all of those large images!
 
TO SLOW why have you posted suck big files? The sunset one as an example is 3872px × 2592px (scaled to 426px × 285px) 2092.69 kB (2142915 bytes) Re size them to the size you want on your web
And this is how it is NOW after you said you have resixed them
 
Images are far to big, but this has been covered.

On your About Me page you say, and I quote "Hi i'm a 30 yr old amateur photographer........ I am offering a family friendly service with great quality images at a cost effective price"

Surely if you are charging customers for your services, that makes you a professional, with all the implications that go with this, i.e PL insurance, tax etc.

Just a thought and good luck with your venture.
 
Your front page is nearly a mb in size (877kb), which even on broadband could take 5-10 seconds to download. Lots of people would move on at that point.
 
why not use the 'right click resize' powertool from MS, works a treat and does it all quickly
 
ok so it wasn't just me... i did look at most of the pic's (had a day of work).. i think the best thing to do is to choose the ones you like the best and post them in the right forums for people to C+C..
 
Site is easy to navigate and loads quickly enough on my 5mb line. The quality of images needs to be better though IMHO. Compositionaly the horse shot isnt quite right with the fence in front of it, and most images seem to lack that extra bight and sharpness. Its a good start keep at it.

sharpness and contrast...give a bit of depth...some are not quite there
with the camera you have..dont let it take the shot...be in control

looks like you're new to website stuff so just keep at it.
it will make everything load more quickly. People in this day and age of ADHD get bored very quickly!
photos? the family ones look nice but some of the animal and outdoor ones ones to me look almost like video still captures. sorry.
If these aren't your best work then take them again with your new kit and represent yourself as best you can
(reminds me to update my website!)

the hands and feet ones look like they're more on the money and what you're trying to achieve :)
are you looking to do family portraits as a pro?
 
Hi and welcome. I think you need to say where you are from on your site. If you are expecting to get jobs through it.
 
Thanks for that i have changed the last pic (which i forgot about :) ) and its more the family portrait shots, christenings etc i want to do .
