Right finally settled on a name...my name! lol....which I origionally thought was taken but realised it wasnt ...anyways!

Trying to do a stamp and got these simple two.....but something feels missing.

Do I keep? change text style, add a symbol, got a designer to do one for me etc etc

any suggestions welcome.

Clean, simple....don't see much wrong with it. Looks good to me.

they work for me.

I personally prefer number 2 as the date and copyright look wrong on number 1, but not sure why, perhaps it just looks cluttered

I would prefer to see the web address a little smaller personally, your name should be the prominent feature and the website in a smaller font below. Perhaps same size but thinner font ? or smaller font but with spaces between the characters, I've seen this used to good effect before, meaning it covers the same space but is less "In your face". EG: w w w . a d a m r o b s o n p h o t o g r a p h y . c o . u k

Just my opinions ;)

They would both serve the purpose (although the first would tie your images to a specific time period with the date in it).

It's all very well having a fancy name stamp that looks good when viewed large but once it is reduced down to a small part of an image then it needs to be clean and simple to be easily readable.

The second fits the bill in that regard.

My only recommendation would be to adjust the url on the second so that it is the same length as your name so as to keep it in balance. I'd also lose the italics for your name but that's a personal thing.

Ahhh I see, nice tip! Will give it a bash, thus was my first go at the sig so still making little tweaks.... Will post it when get it sorted.

I would leave the date off as it can (obviously) age unless you specifically want that. Good example of avoiding aging is with adverts such as Direct Line - they use that annoying telephone on wheels because it can be used forever without any trouble, unlike using a celeb or such who will eventually become too old or may fall foul of public opinion for some reason or anyother (i.e. Kate Moss).
