Views on MPB Photographic

I'm new to the scene and currently looking at second hand cameras and lenses on the MPB photographic website. Could you please give me your views on the company and whether or not I'm safe to purchase through them.
 
Hi Lyndsay and welcome to TP, I've used them several times and so have many many more members. They are very good, if you use the search function you will find lots of positive feedback.
 
Loads of positive posts in here about them, have used them myself, very good service :thumbs:
 
Not heard a bad word against them on here, and my own experience was a good one - would definitely use again and recommend them to others.

No problem with buying, but wouldn't recommend their part-exchange prices. Once they've made an allowance for their margin and VAT, the price I've been offered has been very poor. I have bought a couple of lens from them however, and they've arrived quickly, well packed and exactly as described.Would be perfectly happy to buy from them again.

that's life with part-exchange, they have to make a profit!

Recommend them as suppliers though!

I've used them a few times and they are brilliant.
 
Used them a couple of times, and found them helpful, good service and quality products.
 
Recently purchased a couple of items from them and the condition was every bit as good as described and delivery was fairly prompt. The only very minor negative was that they didn't let me know when to expect the items and didn't provide any tracking info. But all-in-all a very positive experience and I would definitely buy from them again.
 
Again no complaints from me, good quality, honestly described, good service, used them quite a bit.
 
Just received my first purchase from them. Very friendly when telephoned and item accurately described. Will definitely do business with them again.
 
I bought a lens from them with the description 'Exc Obvious Signs of use'. This didn't really prepare me for what arrived, although optically perfect the condition could hardly be described as excellent, it was cheap though and I still use the lens. That description is 5th on a scale of 6 so keep that in mind (I can't imagine what the 6th would be like)
I would definately use them again though, and you get a 6 month warranty.
 
I have purchased a teleconverter and a lens from them, both I considered to be good value and were in excellent condition. I have sold them a lens. I didn't get the money I wanted for it, but it wasn't bad. They gave me £75 for it (I wanted £90) and sold it for less than £100 (£94 I think) so they didn't make a massive profit on it and put a warranty with it for the privilege. A great buy for whoever picked it up!

I consider them to be one of the two cheapest places to source used nikon kit from in the UK and I would recommend dealing with them.
 
another positive experience from me I bought several items from them (inclouding the 400 F/2.8) great service, fast deliver.
