Can someone tell me if it at all possible for me to view my pictures direct from my camera on to a T.V?

If so what do I need?

Thank you

I believe canons do come with a cable to connect it to tv (all the canons I have got did)

Would anyone have a spare cable they don't want?

Not sure about canons but my Sony came with a yellow composite cable and I also bought a hdmi cable from ebay for it.

What TV is it? And maybe more importantly, what connections does it have?

If your tv has usb inputs then its possible. But the Nikon D90 won't do it (I tried) because the camera software doesnt have USB Mass Storage device profile (which is what you need for most modern tvs with USB media capabilities). Other cameras and Nikons might be ok.

If you have a PS3 with USB input same kinda concept. In the end I use the media server capabilities of PS3 of Xbox 360 to stream photos from my PC/NAS server.

You should have a lead with a yellow phono plug on one end this will go into your TV if you do not have any phono sockets on your TV you can get an adapter for a scart plug which will have three phono sockets on one white one red this is for sound red is right and a yellow this is video.
Hope this helps

yes with phono cable looks **** though as res through phono cable is really bad

pics looked crisp on monitor but tv killed them (I tried this), will pick up a hdmi cable for my 50 and try it at some point

go with the HDMI option or get a card reader that plugs into TV...have seen these kicking about and they create a slideshow of the images

I have just dug out the box for my old 450 but theres no lead in that either (only the USB) maybe it's an extra?

Check your tv ,it might have a card reader already ,i noticed mine has
