viewing on laptop as you shoot

Thanks, from what I can see, it's primarily for controlling the camera remotely rather than acting as a display for the images as I take them, but I'll have a play with it and see.

I thought canon dpp has got this tethered function?
 
Right my mistake. Missed out the Linux part!
 
Borrowing a mates lappy with windows, so should be ok with dpp, looks like I may have to install windows and run both systems, or steal the other halves lappy :-)
