Viewing folders in Win10.

HELP!!!

Having "upgraded" to Windows 10 (from 8.1) on a desktop (I prefer 8.1 to 10 on touchscreens), I've found that I can't look further down the page of a large folder of images without it deciding to return to the top after a few seconds. Driving me nuts! (OK, more nuts...) It's possible that I've selected an option to do this but I don't think that's the case. Any ideas as to how to get it back to normal?

This is a long shot, but you could try something..

Does you windows desktop change backgrounds every now and again like a slideshow?

Yes, it does. I'll switch to a static background and see if that sorts it. Thanks for the tip, even if it doesn't solve the problem.

It no longer shows a slideshow and no longer bumps me to the top of the page!

If you still want your slideshow just set a longer period like 30 mins or something.

May your camels be equally fecund, techguyone! I'll probably set the screensaver to the slideshow rather than having any dynamic background - Nod's law dictates that if I set the background to a longer period, it'll change at the most inconvenient time.

The main problem is just this little option marked by the red outline..

With that set to on, the explorer border changes colour every time the desktop background changes so the window "refreshes"..

Just switch off that option and you can enable your slideshow as you like it
