Yes
I'm still using XP on my ancient laptop and would like to view Canon RAW file thumbnails instead of the icons in Windows explorer
ArcsoftRaw thumbnail viewer apparently does this, or did, I cannot find a copy anywhere on t'internet that isn't from dubious sources, they all want me to download loader programs and I aint going down t
hat road again, if you've ever tried them you'll know why.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy? It's 3.3mb I think.

Cheers, Jim.

Jim, Have you tried an old version of Canon Zoombrowser? You can still get the CD's on E bay, but i'm sure many on here will have some old ones. They still have an XP version downloadable from their website.
Whereabouts are you?

HTH's cheers

Thanks John, I've probably got acopy somewhere! I can open and browse CR2 files with IrfanView Thumbnails but wanted to view thumbnails in Windows Explorer, I did it with Win 7 on another server using a .msi file from MicroSoft but that's not compatible with XP. Actually Irfanview is bloomin' fast so I may not bother anymore, I've spent all evening on this :banghead::)

Provided it's a 32 bit system, which I assume by being "ancient" it is, Canon used to provide their own codecs that should do this.

I found this download site (not a Canon site) but like any untried provider, make sure it's safe to download.

Edit: In order to use this you also need to have WIC (Windows Imaging Component) installed.
