Does anyone use these with their DSLR?
Some background..... I was at a wedding last year and the pro was using one of these as a fill light (hand held by his 2nd shooter/assistant). I guess he used it instead of an off camera flash because in darker conditions it would also help with the auto focus.
It's not something i'd ever seen before (or thought about), but the effect was really nice, especially indoors where the flash would have bounced all over the shop.
I've been thinking about getting one (like the Yongnuo YN-140) for portraits and for more creative long exposure stuff.
Waste of time/money?
