I've been told to find and buy a video camera for the geneve event I'm doing next week )I'm not in charge of video hank goodness!). I'd adivesed and thought a Nikon D5100 would be best - they'd be able to use my lens and benefit form an excellent camera. However, just realised they only do about 22 mins continuious video, and they want to just press record and leave it on for 1 hour 20 mins. I've been told to look at the Panasonic HDC TM900, but had a quick look and seems dead pricey!
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?? Leaving on Sunday, and need it tomorrow or at the latest thursday.

Many thanks in advance

Buy a hard drive camcorder with enough space for 2 hours continuous record, events always over run. Find one with an audio input and run a cable from the sound desk to it.

Or, just hire one. Dvtalent in London rent shooting kits cheap.

You got budget? Where/when is the event, you might be able to get a video pro to take care of it all and give you a professional output :)

It's a musical summer school in Geneve (google Geneve music academy). I'm responsible for the photography, they jistwant video as well. The budgets pretty low really, ideally no more than £500, and must be good at shooting in low light. I think hiring one is out of the questio really.

Lots of places will shoot it for cheap and just charge parents for the dvd :)
