Right, I don't do much video stuff so looking out to TP for some much aquired help.

I'll start from the beginning I guess...

A family member wants to avoid doing a speech at his daughters wedding so has asked me to put together a DVD with him narrating over it, I agreed

Anyway he gave me loads of snippets of photos from family albums over the years which I've scanned in and tidied up as best as I could.

The software I'm using is Windows Movie Maker 2.6, what I need to know is if there is a way to have a constant image in the background of something as a base then the photos appearing on top of this one by one.

What he wants at the very start also is a photo of the father, then a photo of the mother then a photo of the sister... and then these three photos to stay over at the side throughout until photos appear with her son and new husband towards the end.

I have the the snippets of photos saved as .png's so that its a transparent background.

So to put it briefly:

1. Constant image in background with photos on top?

2. Photos at the side throughout?

... and probably a few more that will popup along the way.

Really appreciate any help folks as the wedding is only a few weeks away :bang:

1280x720 for the frame size.

Prowshow +1 - outstanding program.

Sorry to drag this up again but I've come up against a problem, I've finished the video now and want to put it onto a DVD. They are DVD+r discs by Tdk, the video renders fine and seems to write without an issues but when I try and play it on a DVD player it doesn't work ad just sounds like it's struggling to read the discs, tried it three times with the same outcome. Tried it as a cd and it worked in the DVD player no problem at all. Anyone got any ideas before I go insane?

Try -R DVDs and set the birate to about 6.
Really high bitrates mean many DVD players struggle to read the high data rate.
