I like photography...not particularly very good at it but it gets me an airing and I like the experimenting and "fiddling" aspect of it....I'm learning the ropes so to speak. For me I and my anorak we enjoy every now and then grabbing shots of steam trains passing the local area.
Now one thing that has started to bug me and not sure if its a un-written rule so soz to anyone I offend...people with video cameras.
E.g.
I get to a spot about 20 -30mins early (as they can sometimes be early) and as the due time approaches a few fellow "spotters" and photographers pitch up and have a bit of a natter.... Then the "cameramen" turn up and all of a sudden the conversation stops and its territory marking time....
So by now say 5 people have turned up a Cameraman plonks the gear down and starts issuing instructions. "I want clear view here (pointing with out reached hand) panning round to here...." so you will have to move pointing at fellow togger who has been in said position for 15mins. Then turns to me "Your camera does it have a loud shutter?...does it beep? If it does I want you to stand behind me....I don't move.
Not being funny but if I pitched after everyone I wouldn't dare say "Oi shift it"...I wouldn't dream of it, just adjust my position so I'm out the way of everyone else but certainly wouldn't make demands.
So just so I'm aware for future reference is there some kind of rivalry between toggers and those who enjoy a bit of Betamax bashing?
