Very basic mobile phone advice needed.

It all depends on how and where you connect to the internet if you use other peoples Wi-Fi i.e., cafe, bars, restaurants e.g., then you're not using your allowance so will not need a large amount of data.

Good stuff.

Mrs WW is looking on line for a new phone so when she gets one I'll grab her old phone and sign us both up for a deal somewhere between £5-£8 a month depending on what's on offer.

Thanks again all.

PS.
I caught her looking at a folding Samsung at about £1,000+ so I said she can have one for her birthday but she said "No."

Mrs WW has picked a phone but she wants to wait for her birthday at the end of November. So, once she's got the new one I'll inherit hers and I'll look for a deal for both of us.

I think she's just picked a fairly cheap Samsung but I honestly wouldn't have minded if she'd picked that folding one as she doesn't spend much and she does spend a lot of time on the phone looking at meditation, cooking and English language stuff on youtube.

Thanks all. You've been very helpful :D

I use ASDA ( Works on the Vodafone network) As it's the only network that works in my village 100% I effectively have £5 bundle which runs for a month ADSA MOBILE But have to say the best network I have ever used is 1p mobile ( runs on EE) their customer service is what I can only describe as shockingly good ( In an age where the idea of customer service is to send you round in pointless circles so they never have to deal with you ) They also do a £10 for 3 months sim and anything you don't use you get back when topping up ie: you don't lose it and they also do a yearly sim for last time I looked £36 although I'm not super familiar with this deal. I'd just buy a phone from Carphone warehouse ( they are all unlocked to any network) unfortunately with this generally you have to top up by £10 when buying the phone which you may lose ( I generally use it first with there sim card just to get the £10 back) but you generally get a good discounted deal so it will probably work out cheaper than elsewhere just to to chuck the included sim away.

Just to add ,Ive just looked at the 1p mobile deal and you would be better of with their 12 month £30 deal rather than the £36 deal as this is only for unlimited Calls and texts with very limited data 1p mobile

Thanks.

There seem to be a lot of deals about but I'll google and reread this thread after Mrs WW's birthday and hope I can spot a good deal then.

Thanks again all.
