As the saying goes about online services, if it's free then you're the product, not the customer
 
I signed up to see what it was about @PeteStewardson on there. Not sure how much I'll use it but instagram I've never got on with making it harder to share photos without a phone crop.

I was surprised when I read the other day that Vero was launched in 2015! I joined in 2018 but haven't really used it until the last couple of months since there has been a big up tick in photographers joining since it went viral on twitter in August. I have to say I'm really starting to like it. It helps that I no longer have Facebook or Instagram since being 'banned' (FB didn't get around to looking at my review request and just permanently deleted my account - actually one of the best things that could happen!) but I like Vero as it will hopefully be a cross of instagram and Flickr (without the groups). The desktop app is quite nice too but I mainly use it on my phone.
 
Just given it a try ( @bristolstreets ) but the desktop version for Mac seems weird - uploaded a 'First Post' photo and then screen asks me to upload first post!
Going to my 'personal page' and clicking on 'Photos' just brings up "loading error' ... looks like the desktop version needs some work. :)

Just seems to be all likes and that's it.

tried it a for a few weeks, every image (8 images over 2 weeks) I posted all had likes from the same people, no follows and no interaction.

Just seems the same as insta. deleted it.
 
Downloaded yesterday to try out

Desktop version is in Beta, but I've not had any issues since using it. I'm on a Mac

I'm finding the same. Lots of likes but only picked up 5 followers in two weeks.

To be honest, I couldn't give a s*** if people follow me or not. I like the interface and it's a nice place to view your images. I'll probably ditch Flickr this year as they don't appear to be doing anything with it.

I was hoping for real interaction. Rather than just another liking machine.
