Hi guys, I am currently looking for a new tripod and have around £60 put aside. I've sort of narrowed my search down to either:

Velbon Sherpa 600R

vs

Redsnapper RS 283 and RSH-24

Any advice on these two tripods? Any other recommendations for roughly the same price?

I mainly shoot landscape

Thanks for any advice

Cannot speak for the Sherpa, but I do have that Redsnapper RS 283 and RSH-24 which I have had for a little over a year now.

It is a good stable tripod, which I am more than happy with.

I have a sherpa, I think its the 650, and also the same redsnapper except with the RSH-528 head.

I prefer the redsnapper, I find it much more sturdy although a bit heavier than the velbon. The bag that you get with the redsnapper is also much better and the strap really helps when carrying it about.

I only bought the velbon as at the time it was on offer in jessops for less than £30.

Thanks guys for the responses. Happy to read what's been said as I took the plunge and bought the Redsnapper earlier this evening. =) can't wait to go and play with it now!
