Just looking at this as a possible buy for my fiancee who is a new tog and needing a semi decent tripod... what are peoples thoughts... my only concern seems to be the legs... look quite small / thin when extended and the feet are well funny! It looks like its stability might be questionable at the fully extended height.

The head looks fine... standard pan and tilt.

Anyone got one... how do you find it?
 
Anyone!!!??? Please... want to get it tomoz for her birthday but really need some other opinions... Has no one got one???

I don't know about the Sherpa model but personally I've never been that impressed by the Velbon tripods. The plastic head seem to have a lot of flex in them and they're never that precise to position. I guess it comes down to what you need it for and what your budget is.
