Velbon Sherpa 200R tripod question

Hey guys! So I’m looking to get a budget gimbal head, thinking the Neweer heavy duty carbon fiber one from amazon and I’m just wondering if it will screw directly into my Sherpa 200R

If anyone can help that would be great

Think I have a old Sherpa 200r or maybe a 250r at the back of my cupboard.
Will have a look at the fittings tomorrow and see as I have gimbals on my benro and gitzo.
I have a feeling though it may be not quite up to the job quality and stability wise for a gimbal though imo.

Thanks for that, I think I need a 1/4 to 3/8 adaptor for it, that’s my thinking, and my Sherpa seems pretty solid for me and that’s with the head that comes with it.

Looking at the pictures in THIS Amazon listing, the head might well come with a 1/2" - 3/8" adaptor. Sometimes packed in a separate bag but often screwed into the bottom of the head.

Yes you are going to need a thread adapter for it.
I think I have a few thread adapters lying about if you want to pm me your address.
