Is the Velbon CX440 Tripod any good?

ive also been looking at this tripod, i have got the same camera so we can both relate to how much the tripod can hold. it looks decent but i don't know if any cheap argos or jessops ones will be any better, because you might be paying extra just because its velbon.

I've has one before I bought a Redsnapper.

It's very light so it moves about a lot in the wind. It's made of plastic so the tripod tends to 'settle' when you're trying to adjust the composition of a shot.

Can anyone reccomend a decent not too expensive tripod for my A300?
Looking at maybe £70-£100

Although I may go for a decent monopod too.

Is the Velbon CX440 Tripod any good?

I`ve got a Velbon CX 660 and it`s OK, maybe the CX440 is just a lighter version, but i`m not sure.
