just wondering if anyone knows where i can find a Tutorial on how to do Vectoring using Photoshop? theres tons of pop art but cant seem to find Vector. any infor will help lots thanks. its just for a few portraits iv taken.

I'm not sure where your going here, photoshop does support some vector (maths) and raster (pixel) The pen tool is a vector tool (paths and shapes etc) if you check out the help topic in photoshop it will give you more info. Wayne

erm like pop art but all blocks of colour. is it not called vectoring.

Adobe Streamline used to be the program for creating vector art out of photographs and was quite good at the job. From a quick search it looks as though its features are now incorporated into Adobe Illustrator at considerably greater cost. IIRC Corel Suite could do this but don't quote me on it.

The process could loosely be called vectoring I suppose but I think what you'r really after is bitmap tracing. All it basically means is you're having some software draw out a photographic image for you so it's formed from bezier curves.

A quick tool for doing this would be flash. A more accurate but more difficult one would be illustrator. When I say difficult, I merely mean there are more options. It isn't actually difficult just more eventualities to contend with.

sorry im not familair with the terms, your not talking about using a displacement map fom you picture then appying that onto a texture to give it the shape of your original picture?
