Variable ND filter any opinions

For photo or video?

What's the intended use, variable NDs are mainly favoured by video makers, even more expensive ones are prone to colour shifts and cross patterns as they are basically two polarisers one of which rotates.

As above, for photography use I would stick with normal ND filters.

I'd save your money when it comes to cheap filters - either buy the best or do what you can in 'post'.

Take a look at Lee or Kase filters - prepare to be shocked at the prices though. :runaway:

Keep your eye on our classifieds section too as they often come up there. In fact I have a Lee Pro Glass .9ND I'll be putting in there soon (with a load of other stuff I'm selling) if that's of any interest to you.
