I am trying a trial version of Photoshop Elements 7. Is there a vanishing point tool and if so, where would I find it please?

I'm just an amateur (and not yet saved enough for my "proper grown up camera" out of my pension) but would like to know whether it is worth buying the Elements or going straight for the real thing? Just means more bread and jam nights while I'm saving :'(

I think vanishing point is only in Photoshop CS3/4. Try the "Help" menu and type in Vanishing Point and see if it returns anything

Tried help but you are quite right Chappers, sort of. I see there's a vanishing point in PE6 but when I try to dowload a trial of that it won't let me as I've already got 7. Suppose I'll just have to uninstall 7 and try again.

While here, would a Photoshop bought from the US be any different from that bought in UK?

Sorry if this has been asked before....

Hi Dave. I thought that was what I was looking for too, but maybe I should have explained a bit better. It's the tool that helps to clone something which changes with distance i.e. a wooden jetty. Obviously the boards appear closer together in the distance so cloning out rubbish etc. is a lengthy process. With the vanishing point tool it all makes it all so much easier.

Never mind, I'm learning - the hard way. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me.

As far as I am aware Photoshop from the US is the same as the UK. It's all one product, it's only the End User License that changes to comply with local laws. However there may be something within the serial no sequence that identifies it as a US product , I honestly don't know

If you are considering buying from the US you may not find it as cheap asa you think with the £/$ not being at such good rates they were. Secondly some companies prevent you from using a UK credit card on a US site. I don't know Adobe do this but i_Tunes defiantly does.
