Any owners of Vanguard VEO 3T+ ?

I wanted to check if this is possible.
This tripod has this multiangle support for column - could this whole multiangle support and column be removed, so it would end up just "legs and head"? :)
I would like to know if I could use just legs and mount head in "fixed" position on those legs only?

You can remove the centre column but afterwards it is notpossible to attach the head.

There is no way to take unscrew that multi-angle module?
OK, thanks for confirming it.
Shame, I wanted to buy it to have an amazing tripod for macro, but wanted to take whole this off just to use legs when travelling.
Don't want to have two tripods.

No. It looks fixed to me.
You would need a special ball head adapter that fitted in the empty tube.

I have the Vanguard Veo 3T which is of the normal tripod design.
Very pleased with it and much better than the older 3GO design
