Vanguard Alta Pro 284CB

The cheapest I can find the Alta Pro 284CT is £314.99 at Premier Ink. It's £349.99 at wex

However Amazon are offering the 284CT tripod along with the sbh-100 ballhead (the bundle is called the 284CB and the ballhead comes fitted to the tripod) for £286.73! The ballhead is usually around £65 and upwards from what I've seen.

is that better tripod leg than manfrotto 055 ?

I haven't used a Manfrotto 055 so can't comment on which is better, however the Vanguard is more versatile as the centre column can move through 180 degrees rather than just vertical or horizontal.
