Jut managed to stop the man from Royal Mail leaving before I got my nice box from EdBray.

Looking inside I was pleasently surprised at how much I got for my money, not bad for £180 including RMSD :)

Undercuts Ian Kerr (Kerso) by a long way

Needless to say I will be arranging to meet up with the rightful owner and swap this for the 80/1.8 I paid for

Sorry Ed couldn't resist showing of the white lens with a big L on it

was just reading your christmas list - nice purchase though!

I didn't think about that until after I'd taken the shots, by which time I didn't want to unpack the lens again - feel cheeky taking it out other than to check it wasn't damaged

Who's this Edbray then...........£180 for a 70/200 f/4L IS, without doubt is a very good price...

Victor

Hmmm if only Nikon did white but .....black is better

After all its only a colour and dulux have a cracking range of whites.....apple....cherry....vanilla.......

Poor white balance in the product photos then :D

Well to say I have had a bad week would be too easy! :cuckoo:

My apologies were given to both people who's lenses I mixed the address labels up on.

Tried too hard to get them the lenses before the weekend and whilst rushing to get them labelled up mixed up the labels. :nono:

Thank God for honest people

180?

180????
i dont belive it.....
can I have one please ?

i think the £180 was a mistake, it was for the 85mm F1.8 not a 70-200mm F4 IS

Correct - and being a nice, kind, generous, forgiving :gag: student I don't really mind the mix up and have arranged the lens swap already

Had the mistake been from some big company who would afford the mistake then who knows what I might have been tempted to do

there's still that nagging voice in the back of my mind though :nono:

what's a poor student to do

That's fuuny!

but I would have LOVED to have been a fly on the wall, when the other guy gathered the wife and kids to carefully unwrap and then jubilantly produce with relish his new white L glass and out pops a prime f/1.8 :) Priceless

I would have feinted! Glad it's all gonna get sorted!

I would have fainted! Glad it's all gonna get sorted!

I nearly did when I found out what I had done. I'd already spent the money received on my replacement lenses.

Kerso managed to send me my order twice the other week, ended up with 2 440EX's!

Obviously sent them back but Buy one get one free on those would have been nice :)

Lenses have now been swapped.

I know I still got great value for money getting a 85mm/1.8 for £180 - many thanks Eddie
