What is everyone doing for valentines day?

Dont think we will doing anything probably staying in might even cook for once :) and matt has said he doesnt want anything for valentines day, now is he been serious and when i dont get him anything will he be in a mood, or am i safe not to get him anything.

Well, I've had no present or card in 22 years....but Id get him something if I were you!!

There's no feeling quite like valentines day or your anniversary arriving and there being absolutely nothing at all! :|

As I am single once again, I am able to do what I want, so I have a studio session lined up - hopefully the models partner won't make her change her kind at the last minute!

I may buy a single white rose and cover it in fake blood like I did a few years ago. I suppose I should think of doing something else this year. Might try and get a date, but thats too cliched.

Forget ... as usual

I'm sure there will be footy on TV for me to watch.

Is it really a good idea to post that question on a board I read though? :cuckoo:

I'll get Sue a card and maybe even a camera lens or something stupid, but I personally hate Valentines day - its been commercialised even more than Christmas - you pay stupid prices for cards, even dafter prices for a dozen roses so at least if I get her something like a lens the price won't jump up because its the 14th of Feb.

Besides, we're married now, doesn't that mean I can not bother? :p

I guess that may be my husband's arguement! Althought what his excuse for no anniversary cards is,,,,, goodness only knows!!

Guess he doesnt want to spoil me or anything!! :D

I was asking everyone, not just you silly :)

I agree about the card, we should all try to come up with card designs for ourselves would be cheaper. We could always email it to the loved one rather a card.

As for the dozen red roses you sent me to work last year, I arent at work and so you cant do that, how about waiting till ourfirst anniversary they will be cheaper then :)

Get a room, you two!! :D ;)

While companies have commercialised Valentines Day, have you? Screw what they throw in your face and do whats right for both of you. </sappy>

Anniversaries are for the married

Valentines for the 'desperate' :p

hmmm..I knew that feeling only too well...I did get a card on those occasions...eventually...after about 22 years of upset, but then it was too late!

Get him something Sue....why wouldn't you? Go on...you know it makes sense ;)

Blimey..........what does that make me if I dont get either?

Oh well, at least Im not desperate!!! :D

you'll only give them to janice :)

LOL @ Sue! :D  :D

Get me some more of those vouchers I can cash in for services :naughty:

It's ok, I accept all major credit cards............but Im not telling you where I swipe them!! :naughty:  :D

no comment. :p

That'll do nicely!! ;)

Now, when a man says he doesn't want anything, it means he doesn't want anything. :p You don't have to try to read between the lines.

Quoted for truth, my Ex when we first started going out said, "I don't want anything". I took that literally, boy was that a mistake....... :bat: :bat:

However when I say I don't want anything I mean "I don't want anything" and won't be upset when nothing is given. ;)

I'm personally going to spend V day doing exactly the same thing I do every year, b****r all. (Not that I'm bitter about being single or anything)

My Valentines day plans (if I had any) are scuppered this year, I have to go into hospital for an op on the 12th Feb, so will be at home recovering :( No feeling all romantic and soppy this year!

Going to see Bloc Party at the Academy with a few of my mates :D

Watching tv in a darkened room looking at the empty shelves, barren of cards...

Hubby and I don't buy each other anything anymore, seems silly to us tbh. I'm not a mushy kinda gal anyway and there are much better ways to show someone you love them. ;) :D He prefers the other ways, lol :p

My friend's mother had real good go at him for forgetting his own twin brother's birthday

I"m really into the card thing but other than that I don't want anything (really) we're trying to save up for buying a house this summer so no $ spent is that much better furniture I get when I move back to the States.

Sorry to hear about that Cheryl - hope all's well and you're recovered soon.

We don't generally do much for valentines day - like others have said the prices of things like flowers rise extortionately (?sp) and to be honest I'd rather be surprised by him coming home with flowers at another time in the year than have him do it on valentines day because he feels he ought to!

After being dumped a few weeks ago..valantines day will be just like every other day,i've never got anything on valantines day so nothing changed really heh *cries*
But I will be getting a few seasons of scrubs out and lots of beer and drown my sorrows :D
