I really want to invest in a good scanner as really like to get better sharpness then my little v370.

Ffordes as few cools can in stock but are they really that much better then a lathed, even the V750??

I am sure the Nikon Coolscan scanners are really good scanner but unless you buy the mighty 9000, you will be limited to 35mm only. Tha epson V500, V700 and V750 all allow you to scan medium format as well.

Don't think i have the budget for the 9000, they ave a 8000 and a 50 i think.
The V700 as come down in price, about £450.
i give it a couple a week and see.

Well I don't know about the Coolscan or V370 but can offer general advice for others who might see this thread and also it might encourage you to try and get better results from your scanner.
Unfortunately you need a drum scanner to get the best out of 35mm film, but if you are just going to do small prints and post shots on forums, an old S/H scanner for as little as £5 if you are lucky is good enough... as mentioned in other threads.
I have a V750, 4180 and 2480 and don't use them much as a good Asda low scan is very good for posting shots on forums.

Asda dev and scan, Reala 35mm film:-

I use an Nikon Coolscan IV ED through VueScan on my 64 bit PC. Scanning is slow, but the results are excellent, but limited I am afraid to 35mm.

I think it cost me around £500 new 15 or more years ago!

i don't mind been just 35mm, i just want a bit more sharpness realy.
