Hello, I bought a Hoya Pro1 Digital UV Filter and I'm afraid i'll scratch it.

If I get small scratches on this filter, will they be clearly visible in my images?
Thanks

In some ways that's exactly what the filters there for, to prevent the expensive front element from being scratched.

In terms of showing up on images it will depend on how big the scratch is, where it is and the shooting conditions. I've actually got chips in most of mine and haven't seen them on images yet.

Short answer: no.

Small scratches on the filter (or the lens for that matter) make no discernible difference to images. Occasionally a bad scratch or chip can cause a bit more flare in certain situations, but that's about it, IMHO.

I got my used 82mm Sigma EX polarizing filter for a bargain £20 (normally cost >£100 new) because it has some quite noticeable scratched on it. I have yet to notice any impact on the images.
