Using two Sigma ef 610's remotely?

I am not the best at flash photography, so thought I would rely on the opinions of those who know more than me (quite a high percentage I would think).
I want to use two flashguns remotely on stands (I have seen it done, and the results seemed pretty good), so wondered how you do it, what I would need, and most importantly if the Sigma ef 610 would be a suitable choice for the Canon 6D.
They would be used indoors mostly for portraits and the like.

There are two versions of the Sigma EF 610 flash, the Super and the DG. The Super has Master Flash and Slave Flash capability. The Master Flash sits on the camera hotshoe and controls the Slave, via the camera menu. You can choose if you want the on camera flash to contribute to the exposure or not. If the flashes are the DG version, these only have a Slave Flash capability and will need some remotes to work off the camera. A number of Forum members use and rate the Yongnuo YN622C wireless remotes hightly, myself included. 3 x YN622C modules would be required or 2 X YN622C modules and 1 x YN622C TX control module, the latter saves delving into the camera menu and offers better control.
So the simple answer is, you could remote one flash without additional equipment if you have at least one Super version. If you want to remote both flashes regardless of type, you will need to purchase triggers such as the Youngnuo versions, which will provide TTL exposures or manual on demand.

Thanks Harvey, I may go down the route of buying one Sigma for on camera work, and then looking at another system for static/posed shots such as the Lencarta steups.
 
I got the version names slightly wrong, the two types are the Super and ST.
