Does anyone have any real experience using RP PX system in the UK?
I am thinking of buying a US version anyway. I have contacted radio popper and from what they are saying it looks like the EU version is very close. But then this had been said for a about a year now and nothing is happening. The bit I don't understand is I use radio mics and I know that all pre 2012 radio mics will be scraped because there is going to be a big jiggle of all the bands when the TV networks are switched off. So maybe Radiopopper has to wait for another year. I don't think they would make a unit that would be out of the public band in a years time. I have seen a radiopopper PX system in ebay which is a bit expensive but I am thinking of getting it anyway. can't wait. I know what line RP take regarding this. I also no the line regarding conflicting frequencies with mobile phones and the Tetra system used by the emergency services. The information seems to conflict itself. Radiopoppers has to observe the frequency of the country they sell in. But I as a photographer need I worry sending a less than 10ms pulse less than 200 times a gig. I'm not worried about the guys with antenna knocking on my door. No one will die because of an occasional pulse of a flash. All frequencies have inherent noise. My discussion is this should I buy the poppers on ebay. Will they work? I think they will, I just want to get your thoughts. Gamblers and skeptics please.

Guys your reply made me chuckle. I got what I asked for.:clap:This is my first time on a forum and was hoping for a little more discussion. I'm not looking for the law debate though. Britain didn't get where it had by following the law.(that's another debate).:cuckoo: Self determination that's where I'm coming from. I want to shed some light to make and inform choice. Law registers low in the equation of can I take some great pictures to sell. I'm a photographer not a traffic warden pictures are my ruling force not paper work. I want to see the WWII spirit of can we get this working. Come on tally ho

I wouldn't worry for a second, if you can get hold of a set for the right price. Not sure how much feedback you'll get from here as I don't think anybody has got a set as yet, but I know there will be a lot of interest if you do.

I would drop Kerso a line - Ian Kerr on here. He's an independent importer, well known and highly respected, who gets all his stuff from the US. He already sells US spec Pocket Wizards cheaper than you can get elswhere. Search his name for references.

You can PM him under the name kerso or email kerso1123@msn.com

Edit: And welcome to TP :)

Been using the px system for ........ ages :)

I will probably just get them then. Thanks for the email address. Like I say new to posting not new to reading forums though. Do people put one line messages on forums because they are busy? or just want a high post count? Why say I have one but do not share your experience. It says a lot about the contributor. :baby:I may just buy the one on ebay I don't see them come up often if at all and I'll let you know how it works for me. I also promise to say more than "I've got one haha"

You wanted an answer and got one - were I not pleased with them I wouldn't be still using them - comments on replies like yours will do nothing to elicit help in the future

iirc latest press release was EU versions are due 4th 1/4 this year 'but probably a lot sooner'...so 2015? :P
