Hey all it's been a wile, hope were all well Just wondering ...
I downloaded a version of aperture 3 from the app store recently on to my iMac, I hav now bought a MacBook pro and wondering if I can install the previously paid for aperture now on to my new mac or will I hav to go to the app store and buy it again For this one?

If neone has any clue please advice before I waste my money!!

Thanks

Audrey

If you look at the "about" part of Apreture it will show you the serial no. - copy this, load up Aperture3 into your MBP and enter this serial - should be nice and simple

I'm not sure on licensing but you may have to remove it from your iMac but I know Adobe licenses other software such as Photoshop to be on a desktop and a laptop on the same license.

If you bought it on the App store you just need to log into the app store on your new machine, click on the "purchases" tab, and then the install button next to Aperture. Apple really have made it that simple.

Indeed, I think you can install it legally on 5 machines. Which is an absolutely bargain for the little money that it costs in the first place.

I run it on my Mac Pro, and the Mac Book Air and import back the libraries when I am back home...

Items bought on the iTunes store do have the 5 times limit, but I'm fairly sure Aperture If bought from the Mac App store has NO limit to the number of machines you can install it on, but the license does say "any Macs you own and operate, for your personal use"

I did not know until now that I could only burn an itunes playlist to CD 7 times, but nowhere can I find how many times I can copy my burned CD :lol:
