Hi all

I have a Lencarta ringflash and a Safari flash.

On occasions it would suit me to fire the ringflash into a brolly on a stand and use the other light as a rim light / hair light.

Any ideas on how to mount the ringflash on a stand with a brolley?

Thanks

Phil

How about you get one of these. You bolt the bottom adaptor to the camera mount, this then goes in the 'top' of the umbrella mount. The unit fits on to a stand, with the ring flash upside down. This will allow you to still tilt the whole assembly and 'focus' the ring flash to brolly & the weight of the brolly won't be supported by the ring flash. Hope that makes sense?

Hiya - I think a bracket like that should do the job - not sure why I'd need to invert the flash though.

Just ordered a bracket off eBay - will see if that does the job.

Thanks

Which one did you order - there are some very poorly designed copies about?

You will have to invert the assembly of you want the shaft of the brolly and therefore the head to be as central as possible, through the centre of the ring flash. I'm assuming that we are talking about one of these;

This is why I suggested the umbrella holder in the link as it has one of those supplied as standard.

oh yeah, so it does.

I've only got two of the things.... lol. Spigots got chucked straight in my toolbag :P

OK thanks all - sorted!
