As I have a couple of elinchrom softboxes, I was wondering about getting a kind of speed ring adaptor so the softbox could be used with my sb-900 (and other hot shoe) flashes.

Doing a quick search for speed ring + elinchrom gives adaptors but the wrong way around, i.e. using a universal softbox on an elinchrom strobe!

Anyone know if one's available? Failing that, I suppose it's not impossible to make one up?

Thanks :)

Thanks Colin. Will do some digging around on the bay. The one you linked to looks good, adjustable, etc. :) Just need it in elinchrom format, not bowens.

Hi Xavier, I use the following products and I am sure you would be able to get the correct adapter.

Speedlight adapter

90cm softbox (Elinchrom fit)

Hope this helps.
This does not concern this thread, but I am writing to ask why you use that avatar. Obviously it is not you, so are you making a cheap joke about a fellow human being ? Please change it to maybe your own mugshot. :nono:

You are joking?

Woah. That post wins the "most random post of the day" award.

As we're all having a moment of lunacy, clearly classcam(era)s is incompatible with class photos :D

Colin (or any other mod so it can be considered a non-personal vendetta ;) ), feel free to tidy up this thread.

Classcams, if you can come up with a class adapter, please do let me know

And I thought it was Colin................

Whoa. Best bumpage of relic thread for off-topic chit chat ever :D

And from a mod to boot! :naughty:

I'll get a taxi (even if my name isn't Parravani!)

you may have to call him in. one thought though , how about clamping the soft box to a tripod and attasching the flash to the camera mounting plate.

Cheers steve
