Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone could advise if this would work.

I have seen lots of video clips on using white perspex board on white seamless to get that reflection of the subject, but I was wondering whether clear perspex sheet would achieve the same result, and also with it being clear, you could use it on black, red, pink etc, etc seamless backgrounds.

Cheers
Matt

ditto, clear here too, just expect to change it regularly as it scratches and marks quite quickly.

What size of perspex have you gone for and anyone used multiple sheets next to each other ...if so do the joins show up and is any PP required ?

I use 4ft x 4ft sheets of 2-3mm thk acrylic. I wouldn't like to comment on trying to use more than one panel... Sounds like a pain to keep together perfectly and I'm sure a line will show.

As I've commented before in threads, I only use it on hard floors or with click together cheap Wickes laminate over carpet before background rolled over with acrylic panel over that. Otherwise the background creeps across the carpet like a rug or mat does on carpet and it looks rubbish as a result. I'm sure the acrylic would crack too.

the overall effect would woork, but you would also end up with some doubled reflections from the upper surface, and also the upward facing part of the lower surface (the inside edge).
that's why the flat white perspex is used - the clear acrylic will do of course, and you might be fortunate with lighting, angle of of lighting and camera angle to not be too bothered by the 2nd reflections, but they will still be there.

No it doesn't for me. It does with glass however ;)
