Using a SINGLE light - creative examples

Hi everyone,
I am new here on this forum. I would like to start a new thread in this section that shows images that were taken using only one light. The idea comes from a POTN forum where it is really popular and provides many with great ideas, light setups and critique for those who want to learn more. I have searched a bit this forum and couldn't find anything similar, however, if you the moderator thinks it's been already done then let's forget about it.

It's the wee yellow box with what looks like two mountains and the sun (it might not be the sun, I'm from Glasgow so I've only read about it )

Ahh, you need to have it hosted somewhere. like Flickr or Photobucket or alternatively click on the Galleries link at the top of the page, set one up and upload your images to there....

How did you light behind her to make it look exactly like another light source not a reflector?

That round light's been done in CS5.

Your masking is excellent in that case to separate the very light hair from the grey background.

Well, sometimes you just think it will look better when you're pping them and sometiems it just boils down to a simple fact of not having two speedlights
