Following the well known you tube link with the chap using a dvd screen with his camera.. i'm on the verge of getting a acoustic solutions dvd 222 or a tevion screen... the latter only has av in whereas the former also has s video in too.

I may be popping over to a shop in a bit to test it out first.. though i've seen the cheap dvd 222 for around 30 notes.. which might do the trick.

And why.. well for some shoots it would be useful to have a larger screen for review, just so clients can get more involved if and when they need to. A lap top is out the question and if this works it will be a cheap solution for something i will use on probably 50% of shoots.

Any experience?

I've not seen the youtube video, got a link please?

Sorry! Linky

I think this video is a longer version to the one I recall seeing. I like the idea anyway.

Ive seen that video already. Ive tried it on a dvd player and a tv. The picture quality isnt excellent, but its better than the little LCD on the back. Its worth buying because im sure portable dvd players are going cheap now.

Did the player you have have just av in or an input that accepted the composite lead that comes with the d200.. the mini jack to composite/phone it might be better called?

I tried a normal mini jack to mini jack and that didn't work, *** a mate/colleague told me i need a different mini jack lead for this.. .

It needed an adapter.
The supplied lead isnt a minijack at both ends.

Yes, i know.. same as my d200.. mini jack to phono. Was it a phono adaptor or straight new lead, 3.5mm 4pole av lead?

I tried it with a d400 and it worked fine, though as previously mentioned, the quality was not fantastic. Pretty useful for self portraits though!

Must try it with my big plasma TV next ;)
