Worth a read but basically I have turned off the Auto distortion control and now I get continuous shooting when shooting Jpeg and RAW (although the RAW does start to stall after about 10 images)

I always thought it was just the spec of the camera but it appears having the ADC turned on really slows down the buffer.

I have had the camera about 10 months and still learning about it.

Interesting observation that Nick. I have just turned mine off to see if it makes any difference.

I have done the same.

Also I put my prime lens on and took 2 pictures one using centre focus metering and one using the live view to focus and the live view was sharper.

Really starting to see limitations with the d5000 and I think I may upgrade next year to the d7000

Great shout, and pretty shocking in the difference which is noticeable.
