Can a 2nd hand wacom tablet be used without the software you get with it hen you buy them new?
If it's already been registered, can it be used by a second person?
I don't want to buy one and find out it's useless

Thanks
David

Hi David, Yes it can, the software/drivers that comes with the tablet is constantly being updated and it is a free download on Wacom's site. As for any free trial 3rd party software I couldn't say for that but that won't stop you using it with any post processing software you currently own.

David.

Software can be copied therefore there could be two, three, four, or as many of the same Windows, game, application, on different computers.

Hardware can only be passed on.

I would assume that if an original software is registered, then it would make the copied software useless, to stop people from getting free copied software rather than buying new software.

Hardware, like anything else in life, cars, cameras, clothes, and so on, can be sold on, so if you buy a second hand one and find it already registered, you would think it should be a simple case of changing the email address, so you become the registered owner. Like you would change register when buying second hand car, or if it comes to buying a camera, just ask the seller to write up a receipt. It's not like your second hand car or camera is going to be made useless because it was already registered.

Beside, as David (not you, the other David who posted in respond to your posting) point out, you can just download an updated software on Wacom's website, and install it to your computer.
