I'm after a Nikon 18-55mm (the el cheapo kit lens). I've put an ad in the wanted section but just wondered if there are any known good places for used gear - I've found one place that'll do it for £53 delivered but I've previously bought one on here for £40. Ebays prices are vastly inflated, LCE has nothing and Jacobs instore had squat. Just thought there would be lots of these floating around :shrug:

well thats the thing..I could snap up the used one from mpb..I mean its £13 more at the end of the day and I could do with having one this weekend to test my Hoya R72, but then I know I'll buy one and a day later someone will put theirs up for sale at ~£40 :bang:

Any idea if they negotiate? like..knock a fiver off or whatever?

There's a list of used kit suppliers in the Shopping, Suppliers and Bargains section of the forum here.

Personally, I'd steer well clear of Mifsuds after a bad experience with them. MPB, Ffordes and LCE have been good, though.
 
went with MPB in the end, no budge on the price (the guy was rather grumpy on the phone lol) but well whatever..£54 isn't the end of the earth. Thanks guys and thanks DigitalRelish for the thrad link :thumbs:
