more to the point would you really be comfortable sending £2200 to someone who styles themselves 'Baron von Titti'?

I know, did make an offer for 2K, but was refused. Not sure I can pay that much on ebay (never bought anything on ebay for more than more £800).
Might end up ordering from Grays of W... or MBP:(

Cheers

One went on here very quickly recently for about £1600 which I thought was far too cheap, 85k clicks but thats barely run in really. I think £1800-2000 is reasonable, wouldn't pay more.

Most go for between £1600-£2000 definitely wouldn't go higher. The d4 will cut used prices massively as well.

Thanks for advice.
MBP have few for £2100 but Grays are charging almost £2500 (with 1yr warranty). Should I wait for D4 to be released (means no camera through winter) to find cheaper D3 or go ahead and buy now.:bang:

If you forever waited on new cameras coming out you'd never take any pictures. I have 2 D3's use them all the time and love them.
Great cameras, reliable, easy to use and have never let me down.
You won't regret it!

Just because a D4 comes out (if/when) doesn't mean that the D3 will suddenly become useless, it's a great solid camera and one thing is for sure if a new D4 comes out it's going to be a lot more expensive than getting a D3. On the other hand will everyone be throwing away their D3's at silly money because they want a D4 or are they going to want as much as possible to cover the cost?
IMO a good little used D3 at around £2000 would be a good buy.

This is it. Decision made and a nice D3 with 7K clicks was ordered in the evening from MPB.

What have I done:nuts:

D3s is only really worth it if you're going to shoot video or do sport in TERRIBLE light (i.e. Rugby League).

In regards to bay they are pretty good at lookign after buyers I had a misfortunate purchase of a D3 for 1.9k which didnt function as intended made a claim and althou seller claimed they didnt have mney to refund me, ebay refunded me within 2 weeks of opening the claim I lost out on sending the parcel back but that was about it.

Congrats on a purchase of your new camera. For me D3 has much better handling than D700 so its hard to get used to it now :(
