USB to external 3.5 HDD ?

I've removed a fairly new Maxtor 320GB HDD from my old PC, instead of buying an external one i wondered maybe if i can buy a lead that plugs straight to it ?
Can this be done, there's 3 seperate terminal ports on the front of it, i'm not sure what type i would need but i looked at this

I have something similar from logilink, cost about £10.

A wee bit fiddly but works with any drive.

Perhaps getting an enclosure for your drive might be more handy?

That's what I use.
You can use it with both 3.5,2.5 Ide and Sata drives
