USB adapter for 2.5 HDD

Hi


I'm after getting a USB adapter for a 2.5 HDD - to be used as a back up. I don't think the motherboard has a spare SATA port (need to double check), so need to use a USB connector.

Does anyone use one - has anyone any recommendations as there are so many out there ...

I got mine from PC world a small case you can fit your 2.5 HD in and al neat with usb lead not much about £19 from memory

Get an eSATA card to add the ports and an eSATA dock.

amazon will have loads, ranging from cheap plastic ones to others with a bit of padding.

Think a caddy is probably easiest way to go. Will have a look to see what is out there.

I've been looking at the HDD caddy, which appear to be around £8-15 and convert it to a USB, which is probably better option as I can use it as a portable HDD then...

Get a USB3 one. If you don't have USB3 in your PC then get it as an add-on.

Yes had been thinking it might be worth getting a USB 3 version, when I saw this one on amazon...
