I wouldn't worry about a chaff module, worse has been lost in the past.

In 2007 (from memory), a Harrier lost a 4KG practice bomb, a Tornado lost a 14KG practice bomb, another Tornado lost a 10 inch part of it's tail, a NATO E-3 lost a 1m^2 panel and a Merlin had a door drop off.
