Am in desperate need for some help. Have £100 absolute maximum to spend on a compact camera for my father in law. He is off to Morocco for 3 months, so we wanted to surprise him before he goes for his birthday. He leaves tomorrow evening, so I only have the option of High street stores.

My thoughts are one of the following (although really need some opinions). They are all for £80-100 from the leading high street store.

Nikon Coolpix S51. Looks really nice
Ricoh Caplio R6. Awesome zoom/wide angle. Seems a great deal, but as much as trustedreviews rates it highly, lots of questions surrounding blown out photos when using flash.
Casio Exilim EX-Z15. Wife as better model S880 which is fab, although not sure about this cheaper model. Specs look similar, although heard that the cheaper ones have poor quality LCD screens on back.

The camera is basically going to be for holiday/family day out photos.

Any help would be great, many thanks!!!

the canon Ixus is about £100 in dixons and a cracking camera there are loads of models but see what they have for the price u want.

Canon A570IS - bought one for the gf for Xmas - worked out at £94 after delivery and cashback from Canon.

Great camera - some will loathe it for its use of AA batteries, but at least you can buy new ones if yours run out part way through a day trip, something you can't do with the bespoke rechargeable Li-ion batteries that most pocket cams use. Buy some good quality rechargebale AAs and a wall charger, aim for minimum of 2800MaH rating

Dixon's I believe are only on line or at point of departure in the departures lounge.
