urgent help needed please

Both links working here also it may be your isp has a dns problem or something.

ETA if you have just purchased the domain I would give it 24 hours for the DNS to resolve

Cheers
Ian

They all work for me too but if you've only just bought the domain then it may take an ~hour for the DNS to propagate.

Try flushing your browsers' cache.

DNS can take up to 2 full days to sort out, so expect random results for a bit. Eash isp has a number of dns servers, and they are updated in daisy chain fashion, which can appear fairly random. When you type in a web address, the ISP sometimes also load balances thier DNS server, sending your request to the quietest one. this can mean one minute you get the site, one minute you don't

Some webhosts assign new sites on a temporary IP address while this sorts out. This gives you a solid method (in the first few days) of working in the space by ftp, and seeing the site using the temp. address

Ok I think I understand.

I purchased it a month or so ago, and just got round to do it.

For the mean time I'm using photium but will change it in the long run.

I did the web forwarding today...

It is possible that the parking page is on a different server from the forwarding page, so that when you selected forwarding it needed a DNS update which will take time to propogate. The TTL for your domain is one day, so if it's still not working tomorrow afternoon then you may need to dig deeper. However, saying that, some ISPs ignore the TTL and cache for as long as they feel like (up to seven days in some cases) so it could potentially take longer. Yes, I am something of a DNS nerd (as well an SMTP nerd) so don't be concerned if that all read as "blah blah blah" :p.

It is working here on both addresses.

If I get a moment I'll send you a PM on another domain name related matter.

I think the question is WHY it it the link direction it to the other site and not showing it in a frame on the domain name she has bought .
This will be down to how you have set up the server on your domain name site you need to go to the control panel and have it show your other site on that address and not re-direct to your other site.

Yay its working now!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing what patience can do. Thank you all for advice given! :)
